Brokk, the world\u00b4s leading manufacturer of remote controlled demolition machines, is
\ndelivering robots to Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan. The first task for the machines is to
\nprovide access to highly contaminated areas and clean up contamination. \u201cOne key
\ndifference between Brokk\u2019s demolition robots and other robots currently on site is that our
\nmachines are capable of carrying out multiple different and tougher tasks, such as tearing
\ndown concrete structures and take care of heavier contaminated materials\u201d says Martin
\nKrupicka CEO of Brokk.<\/p>\n
The first contact with Brokk and its Japanese partner BGE Company Ltd was taken soon after
\nthe accident at Fukushima, as Brokk demolition robots are known globally for
\ndecommissioning and material handling in radioactive environments. Brokk has since then
\nhad staff in place in Japan to better understand the situation and the challenges in detail. The
\nfirst Brokk machine, delivered in middle of April, will be used to get inside one of the most
\ndamaged reactors. The last month has been a very intense time for Brokk\u2019s staff and its
\nsubcontractors in order to be able to deliver the machines in a very short period of time. With
\nthe ongoing crisis at Fukushima, every day saved has been of high value. Brokk staff is
\ncurrently present in Japan to provide training on the machines and their capabilities to the
\nlocal operators.<\/p>\n
Brokk has successfully delivered robots for demolition, decommissioning and disposal of
\nradioactive material to the nuclear industry for over twenty years, including to the USA,
\nFrance, Great Britain, Russia and Japan. Brokk machines have for example been used for
\ndecommissioning and cleanup at Chernobyl in Urkraine. \u201cBrokk was chosen for this
\nextremely challenging work by Taisei Corp, which works for TEPCO at Fukushima, because
\nof our extensive experience in the nuclear industry. Today we have over two hundred
\nmachines at various nuclear sites worldwide\u201d says Mike Evans, Head of Nuclear at Brokk.
\nBrokk has proven and tested products and solutions after having delivered more than 5,000
\ndemolition robots worldwide for the past 30 years. The Brokk machines can also be equipped
\nwith a variety of tools, making them the real multipurpose machines.
\nThis past Monday, a second shipment of three Brokk machines took place using a specially
\nchartered flight from Lule\u00e5 Airport in northern Sweden. These machines were all designed
\nand modified to handle the extreme situation and the high radiation at the Fukushima site.
\nAmong other things, the machines will be operated from a control room located as far as one
\nkilometer fom the reactors. Currently, the machines are expected to be working onsite at
\nFukushima within the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

\u4e3a\u4e86\u6ee1\u8db3\u7528\u6237\u7684\u8981\u6c42\uff0cBrokk\u516c\u53f8\u7d27\u6025\u4e3a\u798f\u5c9b\u751f\u4ea7\u4e86\u56db\u53f0\u673a\u5668\u4eba\uff0c\u4e00\u53f0Brokk90\u673a\u5668\u4eba\u4e8e\u56db\u6708\u4e2d\u65ec\u5230\u8fbe\u73b0\u573a\uff0c\u73b0\u6b63\u7528\u4e8e\u635f\u6bc1\u6700\u4e25\u91cd\u7684\u53cd\u5e94\u5806\u5185\u3002\u4e24\u53f0Brokk330D\u548c\u4e00\u53f0Brokk800\u673a\u5668\u4eba\u5df2\u4e8e\u4e94\u6708\u4e8c\u65e5\u5305\u673a\u7a7a\u8fd0\u65e5\u672c\u3002<\/p>\n
\u4e0d\u540c\u4e8e\u5176\u4ed6\u7684\u4fa6\u9632\u63a2\u6d4b\u673a\u5668\u4eba\uff0cBrokk\u673a\u5668\u4eba\u53ef\u4ee5\u643a\u5e26\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u5de5\u5177\u5934\u5728\u9ad8\u653e\u5c04\u6027\u6761\u4ef6\u4e0b\u8fdb\u884c\u73b0\u573a\u6e05\u7406\u548c\u5e9f\u7269\u5904\u7f6e\uff0c\u53ef\u4ee5\u5b8c\u6210\u91cd\u578b\u7684\u6e05\u7406\u3001\u9000\u5f79\u548c\u6551\u63f4\u4f5c\u4e1a\uff0c\u5927\u5927\u52a0\u5feb\u4e8b\u6545\u5904\u7406\u8fdb\u5ea6\uff0c\u51cf\u5c11\u5bf9\u4eba\u5458\u7684\u8f90\u5c04\u4f24\u5bb3\u3002<\/p>\n
