The improvements increase the reliability and versatility for Brokk customers working on harsh jobsites in industries such as construction, metal processing, mining and nuclear.<\/p>\n

The Brokk 280 packs the punch you need \u2014 generating as much as 25 percent more breaking performance \u2014 without sacrificing any of the compactness, precision and flexibility for which Brokk machines are known.<\/p>\n
Brokk also introduces an all-new electrical system, Brokk SmartPower, on the Brokk 280. The intelligent system includes hardened components and fewer moving parts. Overall, the new system optimizes machine performance based on a number of factors, including power supply quality and ambient temperature. Its SmartPower intelligent motor monitors temperatures of the electric and hydraulic systems, resulting in a 60 percent increase in cooling capacity.<\/p>\n

In addition to improvements to its overall power and electrical systems, the Brokk 280 also features upgraded durability. This includes LED headlight protection, reinforced machine corners and a new steel gray color coating in strategic areas to add an additional level of resistance to dirt and scratches.<\/p>\n
Like all Brokk equipment, the machine\u2019s three-part arm can be equipped with a variety of attachments, from breakers, crushers and scabblers to shotcrete nozzles and rock splitters, and the same tools that fit the previous model B260 will also mount on the B280.<\/p>\n
