Sometimes all it takes is a look. That\u2019s how Ron Dailey discovered Brokk, and his business hasn\u2019t been the same since. Dailey and his partner Bob Thomas opened TRUE LINE CORING & CUTTING<\/a> in Nashville, Tenn., in 1986. At the time it was founded, the company\u2019s focus was in the sawing and drilling industry, with an emphasis on cutting and coring concrete. The business, however, would eventually incorporate a new market after an innovative piece of equipment caught Dailey\u2019s eye ten years later.<\/p>\n

It was during a trip to Germany in the mid-nineties when Dailey first saw a Brokk<\/a> 150 being used \u2013 and the product stuck in his mind. He mentioned it to Thomas, and after seeing it in action again at a trade show, they purchased a Brokk 150 for themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really liked what I saw with the Brokk and so did Bob,\u201d Dailey said. \u201cIn fact, we were so impressed by it that we purchased our first Brokk 150 without having any projects to use it on.\u201d<\/p>\n

The purchase of the Brokk included operator training for Dailey and his team on the equipment. Brokk\u2019s hands-on training included instruction on how to properly operate and maintain the machine, and provided an open format for addressing any equipment questions.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t long before the team put their training to work, and the Brokk made its debut on a project made its debut at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. It was an instant hit. The Brokk was used to remove fountains from a common area of the hotel \u2013 a remodeling job that continued while the hotel remained open to guests.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the ideal machine for the project,\u201d Dailey said. \u201cThe Brokk is fumeless which allowed us to use it safely inside the building, and the machine worked efficiently, allowing the hotel to stay in business without bothering its guests. It was also the project that triggered a new market for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

To promote the piece of equipment and the company\u2019s capabilities, Dailey invited his customers to come to watch the Brokk 150 in action at the Opryland Hotel. The resulting steady stream of ongoing demolition business is a testament to the event\u2019s success. True Line Cutting & Coring expanded its customer base as well as its expertise into the demolition market, adding eight more Brokk machines of varying sizes along the way. The fleet is still growing.<\/p>\n

As co-owner of True Line Coring & Cutting, Dailey is in charge of not only overseeing jobs to completion but also securing new projects to continue the company\u2019s growth. Since the company opened in 1986, it has grown from two to 40 employees, with the addition of Brokk noted as one of those decisions that have significantly impacted that growth.<\/p>\n
