Ortega, a seasoned field service professional, is responsible for new machine startups along with troubleshooting and repair for customers in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Brokk continues to amp up North American operations in Canada. In 2024, the company opened a new Brokk and Aquajet distribution center in Hamilton, Ontario, to streamline ordering and shipping for Canadian customers. Ortega joins a growing team of industry veterans who are expanding in-country support and service for Brokk and Aquajet customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving a dedicated service manager in Canada is a big step forward,\u201d said Lars Lindgren, president of Brokk Inc. \u201cIt greatly enhances our ability to serve Canadian customers efficiently, especially when they need a Brokk technician on-site. Aftersales support is critical, and Roy understands that. He is a highly skilled and experienced mechanic who has been in the trenches and delivers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ortega, a Red Seal Journeyman, brings more than 20 years of experience to his role. He started his career as a mechanic in the automotive, truck and rail industries before joining Cooper Equipment Rentals as a field service technician and diesel mechanic. He most recently worked as a District Service Manager for United Rentals where he was responsible for fleet operations and maintenance for six branches in the Greater Toronto Area. He has experience with all types of heavy construction equipment, including electric equipment, and has worked with OEMs to keep equipment in optimal condition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrokk offers top-notch manufacturer support,\u201d Ortega said. \u201cThey don\u2019t just say they are committed to aftersales; they truly are.
