Can you introduce yourself and share how long you’ve been around Brokk demolition robots?

Could you walk us through your professional journey and how you got to work with Brokk robots?

My career began in 2014 at John F Hunt concrete cutting specialising in Brokk demolition robots learning their importance and abilities in the work they do.

What do you enjoy most about hiring out Brokk demolition robots? Is there a particular job or task where you feel Brokk robots shine?

I enjoy the challenges of making sure each Brokk is ready to go out again in a good condition after they return from a hire.

From your experience what makes Brokk robots standout from other demolition equipment?

I find them easy and safer to work with as you can be in a safe zone whilst operating the machine unlike other demolition equipment, also the power and reliability make them stand out.

What do you consider the main benefits of using Brokk demolition robots?

We benefit from using Brokk’s for their ease of use and the ability to do the job they are built to do.

Is there a specific aspect of hiring and maintaining Brokk’s you find personally rewarding?

Knowing that the Brokk you have sent out does the job it was hired to do and great customer feedback.

How would you compare hiring and maintaining Brokk robots to using traditional demolition equipment?

Brokk’s are far more versatile and powerful than other traditional equipment.

Have you noticed any improvements in safety or speed compared to other machines?

With the ability to have all round vision and the operator being out of harms way these are massive improvements.

How would you describe the feeling of hiring and maintaining Brokk robots? Does it give you a sense of confidence or control?

Yes, i feel in control, knowing that Brokk are always there to assist with issues and parts gives me the confidence I need to do the job.

How has your skillset evolved since you started working with Brokk robots? Are there skills or habits you’ve picked up that you use across other tasks?

Me personally, working with Brokk’s, repairing and maintaining them improves your skills and knowledge, it gives you the confidence to work on other plant and machines.

What advice would you give to someone who is considering becoming a Brokk operator, owner, hirer or engineer? Is there anything you wish you had known when you started?

100% go for it! You will not regret it. But don’t think you know everything as you never stop learning, every day is a school day. Don’t be afraid to enjoy it and take it in your stride!
