Joseph McKenzie

Last November, Brokk Inc.’s Southern Regional Sales Manager Joseph McKenzie was diagnosed with a grade four brain tumor. His treatment has included surgery in early December followed by radiation treatments and five rounds of chemotherapy. McKenzie was put on medical leave in late January 2012 and long-term disability in April.

McKenzie joined the Brokk team in 2008, after more than a decade of work with Brokk equipment. He had previously worked in the industrial refractory business where he was an expert Brokk operator. During his four years at Brokk, McKenzie provided both sales and training to customers in the Southern portions of the United States and in South America.

“I really love working with the Brokk equipment first as an operator and then training customers on its operation,” McKenzie said. “Having operated the equipment for more than ten years, I feel I brought a lot of knowledge on the ins and outs of operation and applications to the customer base.”

McKenzie was a crucial addition not only to the Brokk team, but to Brokk’s customers. He is currently home with his wife Darlene and their three children. He is focusing on getting stable and regaining his strength. We wish him well and continue to keep him in our thoughts. The family has created a Facebook page where friends and family can donate and stay updated on his progress at www.facebook.com/groups/McKenzie.Support
